On December 6 at Club Los Padres Capuchinos in Concordia, Entre Rios, Argentina, Yesica Yolanda “Tuti” Bopp, 107 ¾, successfully defended her WBA and WBO light-flyweight titles with a second round technical knockout of Ana Fernandez, 107 ¾, of Petare, Venezuela. With the win, the 29-year-old Bopp (26-1, 12 KOs) in concert with her 13th defense of her WBA title and her 12th of the WBO belt, secured something named the WBA super title. With the loss, the 40-year-old Fernandez, who has unsuccessfully challenged for world titles at both light-flyweight and minimumweight, drops to (14-7, 10 KOs).
On the undercard, light welterweight prospect Adela Celeste del Carmen Peralta, of Gonzalez Catan, Argentina, if that was not enough, she has a nickname (La Bestia), pounded out a four-round unanimous decision over Cristina Cuevas of Santa Fe, Argentina, who was making her professional début. Peralta moves to (3-0, 1 KO).
