On March 21, at the Holiday Inn, Pointe-Claire Quebec, Canada, Jackie “The Force” Trivilino (9-6-3, 1 KO) of Plattsburgh, New York, enters the ring for the first time since dropping a majority decision to Lindsay Garbatt for the WIBA featherweight title in October. Her foe in this 6-round event is defensive wizard Lucia Larcinese (5-10) who calls Montreal, Quebec, Canada, home. This is a rematch of their March 2010 fight which Trivilino won by a 4-round unanimous decision.
Larcinese has faced a who’s who of the featherweight division dropping closely contested decisions to Amanda Serrano (UD-6), Natasha Spence (UD-4), and Diana Prazak (UD-6). Larcinese is a defensively skilled fighter and a skilled counter-puncher but possesses little firepower in her fists.
Trivilino, once a straight-line swarmer, has matured as a fighter and should now be considered a boxer-puncher. In the Garbatt fights, (Draw SD-8) (Loss MD-10) she displayed a solid jab and effective lateral movement.
Trivilino, ranked #18 by boxrec at featherweight, should win a decision victory.
