Teddy’s right. The fighters of today pale in comparison to those of earlier eras. In fact, in each generation since WWII, the quality of fighters has diminished. There are less boxing shows, less gyms, less qualified trainers, and as a consequence, the quantity of quality of fighters is severely compromised. There are so-called champions campaigning today (Danny Jacobs) that in a strong era of boxing, any before 2000, would still be fighting 8-rounders. Improvement will only happen at the grassroots level. Get kids out of the house and from in front of the television and the computer. Also, bring back 15 round championship fights for the only world titles that matter the WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF. All other titles are Donald Duck-titles.
