Miyao KO-10 Nishimura

At the Tokura Gym in Chikuma, Nagano, Japan, Ayaka Miyao, 101 ¾, retains the WBA World female atomweight title with a tenth round knockout of challenger Satomi Nishimura, 101 3/4. With the win, Miyao, of Yokohama, improves to (19-5-1; 4 KOs) whereas Nishimura, who fights out of Kitakyushu, drops to (7-2; 1 KO) with the loss. It was the fifth defense of the WBA atomweight title for Miyao since winning the belt in September 2012. The win also represents the twelfth consecutive victory for Miyao, the longest such streak of her career.
