Rivas UD-10 Ramadan; Defends WBC Bantamweight Title


Yazmin Rivas successfully defended her WBC bantamweight title for the first time winning a ten-round unanimous decision over hard-charger, Susie Ramadan. Rivas, Torreon, Mexico, the former IBF bantamweight champion, pounded out a wide-margined win on the scorecards (98-92,98-92, & 97-93) in route to raising her record to (31-8; 9 KOs). Ramadan, jumped into the deep end of the pool against Rivas entering the ring after a 27-month hiatus, witness her record drop to (23-2; 8 KOs).This bout was a rematch of an October 2011 contest that was much more closely contested witnessing Rivas win the IBF bantamweight title with a ten-round a split-decision victory.
