On April 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, undefeated super-bantamweight Heather “The Heat” Hardy (12-0, 2 KOs) of Brooklyn puts her WBC International super-bantamweight title on the line against tough European slugger, Renata Domsodi (12-6, 5 KOs) of Budapest, Hungary, in bout scheduled for ten rounds. Domsodi, who’s battled from super-flyweight to super-featherweight was last in action in November losing a ten-round, split-decision to Eva Voraberger in a bid for two minor super-featherweight belts.
Of the 40-year-old Domsodi’s six losses, four have come by stoppages. Two stoppages at the fists of German Romona Kuehne, a long time super-featherweight champion and the others to Mexican slugger Zulina Munoz and Ina Menzer. Hardy, 32, isn’t the hardest puncher in the division, but she is ultra-aggressive. Look for Hardy’s constant pressure to wear down Domsodi earning the hometown fighter an impressive stoppage victory on an NBC televised card.
