Munoz tops Bouvier to Retain Title


Mexico City- Mexican women’s boxing superstar Zulina “La Loba” Munoz retained her WBC World female super-flyweight title for the seventh time with a one-sided beating of Uruguayan challenger Gabriela Bouvier. The judges ruled in the favor of the champion (99-90, 98-91, 99-91). Munoz improves to an impressive (45-1-2, 27 KOs) with the win. Bouvier, the former IBF flyweight champion falls to (12-6-1, 2 KOs) with the loss. This fight was the second meeting between the two combatants; Munoz stopped Bouvier in the ninth round in September 2012 to win the vacant WBC Silver female super-flyweight title.
