In May 2014, Jah won the EBU female light-flyweight title via unanimous decision over the hard punching Corina Carlescu. Libiszewska, Poland, suffers her seventh straight loss dropping to (2-18). 23-year- old Dina Thorslund, Struer, is pounding through the entry level competition during the early stages of her career. Her latest victim, Oksana Romanova, 123 ¼, lasted until the seventh round before she wilted under the aggression of Thorslund. Romanova dropped to (9-18-1) with the loss but owned enough experience to force Thorslund to into the seventh round for the first time in her brief career. Thorslund remains undefeated raising her record to (7-0, 5 KOs).  Thorslund led on all scorecards (60-53/60-54/60-54) at the time of the stoppage.

Employing a swarming style, Thorslund rarely takes a backward step and owns a high work rate. The jab is an afterthought for her using only as a pawing tool to get into range for power punches especially the left hook. She’s ranked #14 by boxrec.com at super-bantamweight which is likely a bit too high. Her aggression and work rate will win her fights against the level of opponent she’s faced thus far, but her defense and lateral movement need serious work before she faces even fringe contenders.

On the undercard, in super-lightweight action, 22-year-old Patricia Berghult, Malmo, Sweden, won every round in shutting out 18-year-old Lela Terashvili of Gori, Georgia, over six rounds. Berghult remains undefeated moving to (4-0) whereas Terashvili drops to (7-5-1).

Myriam Dellal, 137, won the vacant WBC Silver female super-lightweight title with a ten-round unanimous decision over Elfi Philips, 136, by the scores (98-92/97-93/98-92). This bout is a rematch of their March 2015 fight that ended in an eight-round draw. Dellal isn’t a serious contender to the WBC super-lightweight champion (Erica Farias). She had a sketchy record in minor title fights but did last ten rounds in a losing effort against Delfine Persoon in November 2011.

One of the pound-for-pound best in the sport, Anabel Ortiz, 104 ¾, defended her WBA World female minimumweight title for the eighth time with a ten-round unanimous decision over Debora Rengifo, 105, by the scores (99-91/96-94/98-92). Ortiz, 30, one of the best infighters in boxing, consistently slipped inside the wide punches of the aggressive challenger allowing her to score well with counter punches at close range.

Rengifo, a professional for only two years, held her form and composure but doesn’t have the experience to upend Ortiz.  Rengifo had some success with the right hand. This blogger scored 97-93 for Ortiz.
