On November 5, 2016, in Lomianki, Poland, Warsaw’s Ewa Brodnicka, 133 ¾, will make the first defense her EBU female lightweight title against contender Anita Torti, 134, of Milan via Sambava, Madagascar.
Brodnicka, 32, entering her fourth year as a professional, has feasted on European fighters compiling an undefeated docket (11-0, 2 KOs) to date.
Torti, at the age of 40, is seen as something of a trial horse having difficulty with elite competition. She’s received two previous shots at the EBU female lightweight title losing both times to Maiva Hamadouche (TKO-5, UD-10). She’s lost bids at minor titles to Delfine Persoon and Myriam Dellal. Her record stands at (10-5-1, 3 KOs) with only one of her five losses coming inside the distance.
Brodnicka will be a future star at lightweight and should win nearly every round over Torti.
