Maiva Hamadouche, 128, France, retained the IBF World female super-featherweight title for the second time and moved closer to elite pound-for-pound consideration with a fourth round stoppage of former two-division world champion, Anahi Esther Sanchez, 129 ¾, of Buenos Aires. Sanchez previously held the WBA featherweight and IBF super-featherweight world titles.
The 27-year-old Hamadouche improves to (16-1, 13 KOs) whereas Sanchez, 25, drops to (15-2, 7 KOs). Sanchez received standing eight counts in both the third and fourth rounds leading to the stoppage.
The championship fight was scheduled for ten, two-minute rounds.
